„Rebellisches Berlin“

30€ pro Person

Ab & An Caprivibrücke (Bln.-Chrlb.)

The rebellious traditions in Berlin are remembered on the “Rebellious Berlin” boat trip. In March 1848, Berliners fought for democratic liberties, a constitution and the unification of Germany. On November 9, 1918, the Kaiser was overthrown in Berlin and the Republic was proclaimed. In 1968 the student movement was at its peak. Berlin was not only a hotbed of reaction, of warmongers, but also the place where people literally went to the barricades for their rights. Other rebellious events such as the GDR civil rights movement of 1989 are also presented on the journey. Berlin's turbulent history comes to life on the banks of the Spree and the Landwehr Canal.
